Tesco Growing for Schools

Welcome to the Tesco Growing for Schools Project.

welcome to tesco growing for schools

Many of the best food products in the world are produced in the United Kingdom but quite often we do not celebrate their heritage.

At Tesco we are fully aware of the growing need to educate our children on where food comes from and that is why we are keen to launch an educational, yet enjoyable programme for primary school children to gets hands-on experience with growing food for themselves. With a focus on local produce we hope this will increase children's awareness of food and farming, whilst developing an appreciation in the next generation of where their food actually comes from.

Phase two of the Growing for Schools programme running from September 2007 to July 2008 is open to the pre-selected 220 schools only. If you would like to register your interest for the academic year 2008/09 please register your schools details above.
